Congratulations to our Prep Students

Thursday, 8 March 2018

Our Prep students are now well into their full time schooling. I must congratulate them on a fabulous start to the year. I enjoy visiting their classrooms and sharing their learning and enthusiasm. It is amazing how quickly they absorb new learnings and information. I particularly love having them visit my office with work that they are so proud of that they could burst. Special thanks to our fantastic Prep team and all families for enabling such a great start to the year.

Urban Camp

Thursday, 8 March 2018

I am pleased that we have successfully navigated another Grade 6 camp to Melbourne. Thanks to Mr Staley, Mr Daenke, Mr Parkes and Mrs Hartney for planning an exciting camp and for providing such great support to the children during the three days. Thanks also to Neroli Seboa and Tina Ross for their fantastic support as our parent helpers.

Update to No Jab, No Play Legislation

Thursday, 8 March 2018

The new amendments to the No Jab, No Play legislation have tightened requirements for enrolment in early childhood services and impact acceptable documentation for school entry immunisation requirements.

As of 28 February 2018, an Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register will be the only form of documentation accepted as proof of a child's immunisation status.

Documents produced by GPs or other immunisation providers will no longer be sufficient as a form of evidence. By law, primary schools are required to request and record information on the immunisation status of students. Parents or guardians must provide an immunisation status certificate to the school regardless of whether the child is or is not immunised.

From 28 February 2018 only an Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register can be accepted as proof of immunisation status on school entry.

Documents produced by GPs or other immunisation providers are no longer acceptable as school entry immunisation status certificates.

Letters will be sent home this week to parents that are still to provide an acceptable School Entry Immunisation Status Certificate. Please provide this document by the end of next week to comply with this legislation.
