School Photos

Friday, 24 March 2017

We had perfect weather for our school photos yesterday. Almost everyone was excited to have their photo taken. I noticed a lot more product in the children’s hair, although I opted for the natural look! We anticipate that the photos will be sent to our school in the first week of next term. If you forgot to place an order, you can still do this online by going to www.leadingimage.com.au. If you do this by Sunday your order will arrive at the same time as everyone else. To place an order online you will need your ‘shoot key’. We have this information if you have misplaced your original order form. Late orders can also be placed at any time after Sunday, although you will be required to pay for your photos to be posted directly to your house. The postage cost is approximately $8. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Read more...

School Council Membership

Friday, 24 March 2017

I’m pleased to advise the school community that our School Council welcomes two new parent members; Mrs Sue Gentry and Mrs Nicola Dunnicliff-Wells. I’m sure Sue and Nicola will be valuable contributors to our school and community. Special thanks to Mrs Nina Kerwin for her important contribution to School Council during the last two years. Nina’s term will finish at our meeting on Monday. Our new Department members on School Council will be Mr Daniel Lidgett and Mr Chris McClellan. Special thanks to Mr Mark Stevens and Mrs Von Garmey (currently on leave) for their important contribution to School Council during the last two years. Read more...

Easter Hat Parade, Easter Raffle and Tickets

Friday, 24 March 2017

Parent Club will once again run the Easter Egg Raffle in conjunction with the Easter Hat Parade on the last day of term 1. This is a whole school event and parents, grandparents, friends, aunties, uncles etc are most welcome to attend. We would love some donations of Easter goodies to make up lots of great prizes. Donations can be left at the office anytime. We suggest that parents do not go to much expense with the hats. Usually the “best” hats are the ones that children have made themselves with some assistance from parents or older siblings. Raffle books have been sent home today & extra books will be available at the office. Tickets are 50 cents each. This event is always lots of fun and a great fundraiser for the school. Read more...

Harmony Day March 28th Come and Help Us Celebrate!

Thursday, 9 March 2017

Our diversity makes Australia a great place to live. Harmony Day is a celebration of our cultural diversity – a day of cultural respect for everyone who calls Australia home. The message of Harmony Day is everyone belongs, and the day aims to engage people to participate in their community, respect cultural and religious diversity and foster a sense of belonging for everyone. Harmony Day is about making all children and their families feel accepted and equal in our school. This year we will be celebrating Harmony Day on Tuesday March 28. Parents are invited to attend and participate in the activities. The day will start with an assembly at 8.50am in the BER. Then students will then break off into year levels and enjoy a range of activities organised by their teachers. The celebrations will finish at 11am. Please note that grade 6 students will be at camp. More details to come. We hope you can come and help us celebrate.
